Sir Michael Parkinson looks back on year as Ambassador for Dignity for the Elderly Campaign.

Sir Michael Parkinson, the acclaimed broadcaster and chat show host, today published a report looking back on his year as Ambassador for the UK Governments 'Dignity for the Elderly Campaign'
Although the campaign is UK based, the report does highlight many of the same issues faced by the care sector in Ireland, not least some of the funding issues and the giant steps that need to be made to ensure quality care for all.

Barchester healthcare features prominently in the report, both with the title picture of Sir Michael having taken place in a Barchester nursing home, and Sir Michael commenting very positively on the standards of dementia care provision that he found in a Barchester nursing home- the same ethos with which we provide dementia care here at Knightsbridge nursing home.
