Important funds to help support the Alzheimer Society of Ireland have been raised at Knightsbridge Village, which celebrated Alzheimer's Tea Day on Thursday 6th May.
The fundraising day managed to raise €569.30,which will be used to support the work of the Alzheimer Society in Meath.
A Tea & Coffee morning took place in Knightsbridge Coffee Shop and this was well supported with visitors throughout the morning including members of Trim Active Retirement.
Later that afternoon, a Tea Dance took place in Knightsbridge Village Hall. Residents and their families were treated to tea, coffee and cupcakes as well as music and entertainment, which was kindly provided by Trim local, Matt Gilsenan and Navan local, Michael Meegan. The great entertainment & music encouraged plenty of dancing and visitors included Maura Howley of the Alzheimer Society.
Commenting on the Alzheimer Tea Day, Catherine Condon, Operations Support Manager at Barchester Healtcare said; ‘It has been a pleasure to host an Alzheimer Tea Day event for the second year and we are delighted to have helped to raise funds for such an important service. We look forward to next years event, which will hopefully be bigger and better.’
