Knightsbridge Village, Barchester Healthcare's nursing home and retirement village, celebrated its first anniversary at an event held in Knightsbridge Village on Friday afternoon. The first anniversary event took place in the village hall and was attended by over 150 people. Village residents, their families and staff were joined by members of the Ballivor Active Retirement Association, who were visiting Knightsbridge for the first time. Other groups attending included members of Trim Active Retirement Association, Enable Ireland, Trim Arch Club as well as local clergy, healthcare professionals, politicians and businesspeople. The Trim bowlers were active on the all-weather bowling green for much of the afternoon as guests enjoyed refreshments, tea and coffee. Entertainment was provided by local musician Matt Gilsenan, whilst face painting and a balloon and magic show kept younger visitors amused. Speaking at the event, Catherine Condon, Operations Manager at Barchester Healthcare commented, 'Barchester are very proud to celebrate our first year in Trim. We have worked very hard to provide quality care to all residents in Knightsbridge and we appreciate the support we have received from the local community. We look forward to celebrating many more years in Trim.'
